Lovox knowledge base for your company
Keep policies, instructions and answers to common questions in one place, next to your tasks. Your team follows the same rules, and new hires find answers on their own. A Russian alternative to Notion and Confluence.
Why a company needs a knowledge base
Shared rules and policies for all employees
Policies and instructions are kept in one place. You don’t have to look through chats, emails and drives. There is always one current version.
New hires learn on their own from the knowledge base
Build a section for new employees: instructions, videos, answers to common questions. New hires read it and don’t need to distract colleagues.
Knowledge builds up and stays in the company
Policies, articles, instructions and meeting recordings are stored as articles. Experience stays with the company even when people leave.
What the Lovox knowledge base gives you
Policies and instructions in one place, next to the task
A task links to the policy it follows. Edit the article in one place, and it’s up to date in every task.
See who has read an article
Lovox tracks who has read an article. You know whether the team has read the new policy.
Article access by department
A section is open to the whole team, a department or specific people. Private content doesn’t show up in lists or search.
One search across the whole workspace
Articles are searched together with tasks, boards and comments. You don’t need to remember where the answer is.
Edit articles together
Several people edit an article at the same time and see changes right away. No need to send file versions back and forth.
Lovox servers are in Russia
Works without a VPN. Pay in rubles by card, or by invoice for a company with accounting documents.
Which services the Lovox knowledge base replaces
Instead of Notion
Move pages and databases from Notion to Lovox directly. Lovox works without a VPN, and you pay in rubles.
Compare with LovoxInstead of Confluence
In Lovox, articles sit next to tasks and link to them. Sections open by department, and people write articles together.
Compare with LovoxInstead of Teamly
In Lovox, you see who has read a policy, and section access is set by department. Tasks, meetings and reports are in the same workspace.

Instead of Yonote
Lovox has articles and databases, with tasks, meeting recordings and reports right next to them.
Instead of Google Docs and Yandex Documents
In Lovox, policies are organized by section with access by department, and the shared search finds them. You see who has read them.

Instead of a self-hosted wiki
For example, MediaWiki, Wiki.js or Outline. You don’t need to install and maintain Lovox on your own server. Updates arrive automatically.
Co-editing
Work on one article together, like in Google Docs. Several people write at the same time, and everyone sees each other’s changes right away.
- Each colleague’s cursor shows their name, so you see who is editing what.
- Text selected by a colleague is highlighted in their color.
- Edits don’t overwrite each other, even when two people type in the same paragraph.
- Everything saves automatically. There is no “Save” button.
- Task descriptions are edited together in the same way.
Article feed
The knowledge base opens as a feed, like an internal magazine: each article has a cover, title, author and the start of the text. New content shows up right away. You don’t need to look for it in folders.
- Previews keep headings and lists, so the card tells you what the article is about.
- The card shows how many people have read the article and marked it helpful.
- There is a shared feed and a feed for each section.
Article table
The table shows the same articles as the feed, with properties in columns. It’s handy when you have many articles and need to compare them quickly or check that all properties are filled in.
- Hide, reorder and resize columns.
- Group articles by any property.
- Calculate the count, sum, average, minimum or maximum under a column.
Cards
Cards show articles as tiles with covers. This makes it easier to scan a section and pick the article you need.
- A card shows the cover, title, author and date modified.
- Unread articles are marked, and you can bookmark right from the card.
- If an article has no cover, the card takes the section color.
Sections and folders
Articles are organized by section: “Sales”, “Onboarding”, “Policies”. Sections are grouped into folders, and folders can be nested up to three levels.
- Drag sections into folders and between them.
- Sections and articles have a cover and an icon: an emoji, an icon or your own image.
- Pick a cover from the gallery or upload your own.
Section access
For each folder and section, you decide who can see it: the whole team, a department or specific people. People without access don’t see a private section in lists or search.
- Give access to a whole department at once.
- A section inside a folder gets the folder’s access, but you can set it separately.
- Private sections are marked with a lock.
Article editor
Write an article like a regular document: headings, lists, tables, images. Press “/” to open the block list, like in Notion.
- Headings, lists, checklists, quotes, colored callouts, toggle blocks and code.
- Tables where you can add rows and columns.
- Drag blocks by the handle on the left.
- The table of contents builds itself from headings and stays at the edge of the window.
- Mention a colleague with @.
Images, videos and files
Drag an image, video or file right into the text. It’s easier to show how to work in an app on video than to describe it in words.
- Upload a video from your computer and watch it right in the article.
- Attach a file exactly where you need it in the text.
Nested articles
Create an article inside another article. This way a long policy splits into parts: a main article and separate pages for each step.
- A nested article shows up in the text as a link in its place.
- Move a nested article to a separate section.
- The path to the article is shown in the window header.
Links between articles
Link to another article right in the text, and readers can open it in one click. The link points to the article itself, so it doesn’t break if the article is renamed or moved.
- The bottom of an article shows which articles link to it.
- Hover over a link to see which section the article is in.
- Readers without access see “Article unavailable” with no title.
Articles and tasks
Instructions and the tasks that follow them are linked. A task links to the policy it follows, and an article links to tasks.
- Paste a task link into an article, and it becomes a card with the current task name.
- When the task is done, its name in the article is crossed out.
- You don’t need to copy the instructions into every task. Edit them in one place.
Article properties
Articles can have their own properties, like task fields. For example, “Document status”, “Review date” or “Approved by legal”.
- Create a property for the whole knowledge base or for one section only.
- Properties are shown in the table. Filter and group articles by them.
- If you move an article to a section without that property, Lovox asks whether to extend the property or clear the value.
Eight property types
Use properties to build a directory for your needs: department policies, a contract register, a support answer base.
Text
A short line: document number, version author, city.
Number
Policy version, service price, term in days.
Checkbox
Yes or no: “approved”, “checked by legal”.
Date
When the article was approved or when it needs a review.
Select
One option from a list: document status, department, content type.
Multi-select
Several options at once: which roles and regions it applies to.
Link
A link to an external document, website or file in another system.
Files
A contract, template or presentation attached to the article.
Database inside an article
Add a table with your own columns to an article: a supplier list, a price list, a contract register. Each row in the table opens as a separate page.
- Columns can be any of the eight types.
- Each row has its own page with text, and you can create nested pages in it.
- Database access is the same as for the section where the article is.
Section table in an article
Embed a live table from a section in an article. For example, show all articles from the “Onboarding” section on the “Everything for new hires” page. A new article in the section appears in the table right away.
- Filter and sort the table. The settings are saved in the article.
- Edit article properties right in the table without leaving the article.
- An article from the table opens in a window on top.
Drafts
An unfinished article stays a draft. Only you can see it until you click “Publish”.
- A draft sits in its section next to other articles, marked “Draft”.
- If you close a new article before finishing it, Lovox offers to keep it as a draft.
Reads and “Helpful”
Lovox tracks who has read an article. This way you see whether the team has read the new policy.
- The article card shows how many people have read it.
- Readers mark helpful articles, and the count is shown in the feed.
- Use a filter to show only unread articles.
- Mark an article as unread again to come back to it later.
Bookmarks
Bookmark the articles you come back to often. They are collected in a separate list in the sidebar.
- Each person has their own bookmarks.
Bulk actions on articles
Select several articles, and the action applies to all of them at once.
- Bookmark them or mark them as read.
- Move them to another section.
- Delete several articles at once. We’ll ask you to confirm first.
Article window
An article opens in a window on top of the current screen. If you follow a link to another article, the windows stack up, and you can go back.
- Minimize the window, switch to something else and come back later.
- Send an article link to a colleague.
- Duplicate an article with its content.
- Use wide mode for tables and diagrams.
Search
Articles are searched together with tasks, boards and comments in one search across the whole workspace.
- Each result shows the piece of text where the match was found.
- You only see results you have access to.
- Inside the knowledge base, search articles by text and filter by properties at the same time.
